MSA211: Soilless Cultivation -- Credit: 3 (2, 1)

Course Description
Familiarizing trainees with the benefits and applications of fertigation, the amount fertilizer crops need, types and characteristics of fertilizers, introducing the benefits of soilless cultivation and methods of implementation, dealing with different irrigation systems and preparation of nutritious solutions and their components. General objectives are todesign for irrigation network related to irrigation system, practical applications on fertigation system, and conducting fertilizer accounts.

Learning Outcomes
After completion of the course, students are able to:

  • To explain the reasons of soilless culture;
  • To plann and apply of soilless cultivation;
  • To solve the problems facing in soilless cultivation;
  • To determine the environmental effect of soilless cultivation and to design production environmentally friendly;
  • To open for innovations, to reach information, and to produce solution.
