Curriculum structure
The programme is organized in 5 phases. The first one consists in 3 modules: each one of 3 credits that contents general information and provides basic concepts and abilities in sustainable agriculture. The second one contents 7 modules with 21 credits, which were designed to train students for specific field of sustainable agriculture. The third one contents 1 module with 8 credits to fill a particular requirement of the master course and it can be selected by students according with their interests. The fourth one contents 3 modules, with 9 credits, which were designed to train students in research skills. The fifth one is research work, which is required for students to conduct any research work for thesis writing to fill a particular requirement of the master course, with 15 credits. One Cambodian credit is assumed to be equal to two ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System ).
- CORE COURSES (3 modules, 6 credits)
The core course is arranged to provide MSA-students with and in-depth understanding of the concept and knowledge in sustainable agriculture and practical issues involved in the design and implementation of agriculture and environment for sustainability.
- MAJOR COURSES (7 modules, 21 credits)
The major course is designed for a specific field of study for sustainable agriculture. All students are required to participate and examine the courses listed in the MSA curriculum. These courses are arranged to provide MSA-students to become a sustainable agricultural technologist with sustainable agriculture knowledge and experience, analytical and research skills.
- ELECTIVE COURSES (1 module, 3 credits)
The third one contents 1 module with 3 credits to fill a particular requirement of the master course and one of the four courses describing in the MSA curriculum can be selected by students for their interests.
- RESEARCH COURSES (3 modules, 9 credits)
The research course is arranged to train students in research skills such as research methodology, data analysis and interpretation, and scientific writing and communication skills.
- THESIS (15 credits)
Master's degree candidates must fulfil the requirements of research work, which is equal to 15 credits. A thesis for the Master's degree must show familiarity with previous work in the field and must demonstrate the ability to carry out research, organize results, and defend the approach and conclusions in a scholarly manner according to disciplinary norms. It can be written either in Khmer or English language.

MSA graduates to become a sustainable agricultural technologist with sustainable agriculture knowledge and experience, analytical and research skills for sustainable agriculture.
- Envisage measures for student internship opportunities
It will take advantage of all the opportunities from the existing programmes and/or projects related to their field of study, such as:
- Internship fellowships for students with UNICAM grant
- Internship fellowships of the Cambodian universities
- Internship fellowships of Associated partners (NEF, UBU, MoEYs, LRMP)
- Internship fellowships from other projects (e.g. NutriSEA, CONSEA, WAgN-Cambodia)
- Internship fellowships from existing on-going projects at hosting universities
- Envisage of possible collaborations with other professionals and researches that not will hold the professor status.
Participation of international academics in the several core, major and elective courses is expected.
If students choose work experience, the role of professionals who tutor them is also very important.
